Terms of use
These terms cover buying and using Metatron, the Mac app, and this website. They're written to be read. By installing or using Metatron, you agree to them.
Who you're dealing with
These terms are between you and Metatron ("we"). Your purchase is processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, so your receipt and payment come from them; their buyer terms apply to the payment.
Your license
- Buying Metatron gives you a personal license to use it, not ownership of the software.
- One license is for one person, on up to two of their computers at a time, whatever system they run: Mac today, Windows when that version ships. Teams need one license per person.
- Please don't share, resell or publish your key, or try to get around the license check.
- Before the first version ships and during a free trial, Metatron may run without a key.
Updates
- A standard license includes every new version released within a year of purchase. After that year the app and every feature you bought keep working with no time limit, and fixes for that version stay free. Renewing is optional and adds another year of new versions.
- A founding member license includes every version of the Metatron desktop apps we release, for as long as we make Metatron, for one person. It does not include any separate paid service we might add later, such as a team or cloud product.
- Updates may add, change or remove features.
Refunds
Buying a founding license is a pre-order: the first version is due by 31 January 2027, and if it is late you can take a full refund at any time until it ships. Founding members can ask for a full refund at any time before the first version ships, and within 30 days after it does. Other purchases can be refunded within 30 days. Write to support@usemetatron.com with your order email. Your rights under consumer law in your country are not affected.
Your AI provider and other services
Metatron works with services you choose and pay for separately: Claude, ChatGPT, Ollama, and the apps you connect. Their terms and prices apply to your use of them, and we're not responsible for them being available or for what they charge.
Recording calls
You are responsible for following the recording and consent laws that apply to you and the people on your calls. Metatron reminds you to tell people by default, but it can't do that for you.
AI makes mistakes
Notes, summaries, to-dos and answers are written by AI and can be wrong or incomplete. Check anything important before you rely on it.
Your content
Everything Metatron makes from your calls, email and notes is yours. We don't receive it and claim no rights in it.
Warranty and liability
We work hard to make Metatron reliable, but it's provided "as is", without guarantees that it will be error free or always available. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for your license. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Ending the license
You can stop using Metatron at any time. If you seriously break these terms, for example by sharing your key publicly, we can switch the license off. A refunded license is switched off.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and we'll email customers about important changes. These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without taking away the protection the law of your own country gives you as a consumer.
