Privacy and data

Where do my calls and notes live?

On your Mac, in a folder of plain Markdown files you own. Open them in Obsidian or any editor. There is no Metatron server holding your audio, transcripts or notes.

Does any of my data leave my Mac?

Speech to text always runs on your Mac. For notes and answers Metatron uses the AI you choose. With a model on your Mac, nothing leaves it. With your ChatGPT or Claude plan, the text Metatron needs for that answer or those notes goes to that provider under your account: your request, the relevant notes and to-dos, your calendar, and anything you attach. Never the audio.

Do you train AI on my calls?

No. We never receive your calls, notes or email, so there is nothing to train on.

Can I delete everything?

Yes. Delete a recording, a note or the whole folder and it is gone. There is no copy anywhere else.

Can it read my email and chats?

Only the accounts you connect, one at a time, and you can switch any of them off whenever you like. Anything it finds becomes a suggestion you approve, never an action on its own.

Calls and recording

Does a bot join my calls?

No. Metatron records the call audio on your Mac, so nobody sees an extra attendee.

Will people know they're being recorded?

Metatron shows when it is listening and reminds you to tell people, with a note you can paste in the chat. The law where you and your clients are decides what you need to do.

Which call apps does it work with?

Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack, FaceTime, and Google Meet in Chrome.

What if I forget to start it?

It notices when a call starts, begins taking notes and tells you. Say "Metatron, stop transcribing" to stop it.

Does it work in other languages?

Yes. It detects the language of each call. English and Spanish are tested on real calls; Portuguese, French, German and Italian are supported by Apple's model.

Does it work offline?

Transcribing does, anywhere. Notes and answers need your AI: a model on your Mac works offline, a cloud key needs a connection.

Buying

Is it a subscription?

No. Founding members pay $59 once and get every version for life.

When do I get it?

The first version ships by 31 January 2027, and founding members get it first.

What if it isn't for me?

Ask for a refund any time before the first version ships, and within 30 days after. Write to support@usemetatron.com with your order email, no questions asked.

What does the license cover?

One person, on up to two computers at a time. Move it yourself from Settings when you change machines. The same key will work on the Windows version when it ships, at no extra cost.

What will it cost after launch?

$99 once, with a year of new versions. When the year ends you keep the app and every feature you bought, for good, with bug fixes still free. Renewing for $59 adds another year of new versions, and it's optional. Founding members never need to: $59 once covers every version for life.

Which Macs does it run on?

Macs with Apple Silicon and macOS 26 or later. A Windows version is planned on the same license; there is no iPhone version.
